SPECIAL FEATURES
⚽ In preparation for the 2000/01 season, HSV still wore jerseys with the sponsor Hyundai – only shortly before the start of the season was TV Spielfilm reactivated as an already known sponsor (from the 1999/2000 season), which meant that the Hyundai jerseys were rarely used.
🏆 HSV played in the Champions League that season and wore this jersey in the legendary "Match of the Century" in the newly named AOL-Arena.
📉 In the Bundesliga, HSV had to fight against relegation for a long time and only saved themselves on the last matchday, when Schalke 04 missed out on the championship in injury time.
👕 The design remained unchanged from the previous season – only the sponsor's logo was replaced, which makes this jersey an interesting transitional model.
